A. Information You Provide to Us

Contact Information: When you create an account, we collect your Name and Email Address via our authentication provider (Auth0).
Health & Fitness Data: To provide nutrition insights, we process the data you log, including Calorie Intake, Macronutrients (Protein, Carbs, Fat), and Dietary Energy.

User Content:

Audio Data: We access your microphone to record meal descriptions when you use the voice logging feature. These recordings are transcribed to text and processed to extract nutritional information.

B. Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, such as screen views, button taps (e.g., "meal_logged", "recommendation_viewed"), and time spent on features.
Diagnostics: We collect crash logs, error reports, and performance data (e.g., API latency) to identify and fix issues.
Device Information: We may collect device identifiers and technical information about your device (model, OS version) to ensure compatibility and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

App Functionality: To create your account, log your meals, calculate your nutritional intake, and provide AI-powered recommendations.
Personalization: To tailor dietary advice (e.g., "lose fat" vs. "build muscle" goals) and track your streaks/progress.
Analytics: To understand user behavior and improve our product features (using Mixpanel and Firebase Analytics).
Product Improvement: To train and refine our nutrition estimation algorithms.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App:

Auth0: For secure user authentication and identity management.
Google Firebase: For collecting analytics (Firebase Analytics) and crash reporting (Crashlytics).
Mixpanel: For advanced product analytics to understand user retention and feature usage.
Azure OpenAI: We use Azure OpenAI to process your meal descriptions (text and voice transcripts) and photos to provide nutritional analysis.

These providers process data on our behalf and are obligated to protect your information.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and health data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Correction: You can view and edit your profile and health goals directly within the App.
Data Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us or using the in-app deletion feature.
Permissions: You can revoke the App's access to your Microphone, Speech Recognition, or Camera at any time through your device settings. Note that some features (like voice or photo logging) will not function without these permissions.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
